I will be thankful if you could help me to install (huawei quidway wa1003a) wireless router for the internet connection given by spectrasmart. They have given me a static ip (172.16.1.110) a username and a password. 2 DNS server ips are also given to me. They have given the connection using a LAN wire. If i connect it to my laptop directly it works. But what should i do to connect it through the wireless router I have. This router works with BSNL and AIRTEL as they give DSL phone line. But with LAN connection how to install it i donot know. I have tried all I could. The router has a wireless, adsl, lan(ethernet) and usb port. I want to connect my laptop wifi with the wireless connection of the wifi router to do internet.

If you can connect to the internet when you connect the pc to whe lan port , then your internet connection is ok and all you need to set is the wireless settings in the router.
connect the pc to the router with a cable .
then , Start-> Run-> type cmd-> ok-> type ipconfig-> enter-> look on the default gateway address -> type the numbers of the default gateway in the address line in your internet explorer-> there you should check , enable and or change the wireless settings.

hey..i have the same prob.... but whenever i type the default gateway the page cannot be displayed...pls help
