Turn on the camera
Set the mode selector to capture mode (The LED status blinks once)
The timer icon appears on the LCD screen.
When shutter depreseed - Blinks slowly for 8 secs, quickly for two.
Note : The timer is only applied to the next picture.
The manual has pictures.
There should be a button with a clock icon. Press it and you should be presented with choices for how many seconds you want before the pic is taken. Make your choice and press the shutter button...get in the picture.
