My VMX 100 BT headset seems to pair with my Motorola Q9h GSM phone but I can only hear the incoming call. When I speak, the person at the other end can't hear me. What's wrong? On a related note, I also tried to pair the VMX 100 with an HTC Touch Pro (Sprint) and it does not appear to pair at all. Is there a fix for that?

To pair your VMX100 with your phone. Take your phone and the vmx next to each other. Turn on the VMX by opening the microphone boom, it is switched on. if the vmx is not paired it will automatically go to the pairing mode.
the led should flash in red and blue to indicate that it is in pairing mode.
If you have previously paired it with another deivce then you have to enter to the pairing mode yourself. Open the microphone boom as you would turn it on. while you press on the bolume button at the same time.
The led on the top will flash alternatingly in red and blue to indicate that the headset is in the pairing mode.
On your phone, you need to make sure the bluetooth is turned on and that you are in discoverable mode, then look for bluetooth devices nearby.
The VMX 100 should show up. connect to it and your phone should ask for a passkey which is 0000 four zeros.
if the pairing was a success, the led on the top will flash slowly in blue.
your headset is now paired, if not, then repeat the process.
Your phone should be able to transfer the call audio to the headset either automatically or manually, have a look in your phones manual on how to transfer the call to the headset or how to use the headset with the phone.
With the H700 BT headsets the pairing mode is different
from other BT headsets. to put it in pairing mode you first hold the
talk button on the headset until the purple light comes on.Right after
the purple light comes on you have to flip open the headset for it to
stay in pairing mode. From there you continue through the phone. It
will ask for a password; that will be "0000". then connect.
If you have no problem pairing the headset to the cellphone, maybe the issue comes from the headset that has a defect in it. These bluetooth headsets are kinda fragile, check out where you bought it if you have a warranty.
User "Nitol" seems to be having the same problem with this headset. I'd recommend calling motorola support, see what they think of it. If you're lucky, they'll recognise the apparently common probem and help you out.
