F3 code

I don't think in is unsafe to operate. I worked with boilers that used igniters and a temperature sensors. Usually what these codes mean is (simply error codes ) to guide you which part/s does not function or respond correctly or within a certain time in seconds and brings up this code, but if you get it to ignite, use it like that until you can get someone to do some maintenance on it. Just remember, if your heat is not at the correct temperature, your igniter will fire, but will not be able to ignite the flame.

What does F 03 on the display mean (my oven is not working)

Most Whirlpool ovens and F3 code is a failed temp sensor.

See this link:
http://www.applianceaid.com/oven_temp_sensors_help.html

and this one:
http://www.repairclinic.com/Fault-Codes

An oven too HOT indication is also F3 but the cause is still a failed temp sensor.

GE Oven displaying both F2 and F3 error codes; bad ERC or temp sensor?

F3 is Open oven temperature sensor circuit.
F4 Shorted oven temperature sensor circuit .
F7 Component failure.

To fix this you need to read oven temperature sensor circuit at oven temperature sensor ( approx 1000 ohms at room temp); check for cut or pinched wire or loss of contact, if wirings are ok, then replace the probe.
