Laptop boots just fine then after 30 to 45 seconds later completely shuts down.
I've got the same problem. I've googled until my fingers bled. All the posts are from people who think they have an idea, or things to check.
The bottom line is I'm certain its going into thermal shut down, but I have no idea why. I had a meter on the pins of the fan plug and it gets power, and then shuts off after 2-3 seconds. Not a fan failure but the circuit shuts the power off. I had my finger on the copper slug on top of the chip and it never gets warm to the touch. I've changed thermal paste, I've changed ram, cpu, still no idea what is wrong with it. My DC jack is nice and tight, and the power supply I use is of the correct voltage, and amperage.
Remove the battery and connect the laptop to power outlet, if it works then it was battery. If it still turns off then it is probably the cpu fan. Check if it is spinning.
If none of the above the comuter may be set up to go standby after 1 minute.

Mine does the same thing. The battery light starts out blue then turns amber. Taking battery out just makes it shut down faster. ?? I read the part about CPU fan & I don't hear it running or feel air blowing out the side. But what do I do about that??
Thanks in advance for your help & patience!
