exact same problem, cooling light always on. I Always use manual because sensor shuts off when clothes are still wet, but even doing it manual it takes over an hour. Serviced it twice nobody seems to think anything is wrong with it! I hate this dryer!!!exact same problem, cooling light always on. I have the same problem. My Dryer (DLG5988W) does not dry my cloth. And My Washer is smelly. I stop using them. We have been going to Laundry for the last several months. And my cloth smell good and cost me less than using my own LG dryer.
I paid about $2100 for both dry and wash. These machine are junk. I will never buy anything with LG brand name.

The plastic piece that you push may be broken or the switch that it pushes may be broke. Sometimes you have to hold the start button for a few seconds before the actual start will take place.
The start button is a momentary start button. It energizes a relay type switch to keep power on. Try holding the start button in for awhile and do not let go. If the machine keeps running, then for sure, the relay type switch is defective and needs to be replaced with a new one.
Make sure you have 240 Volts going to the dryer. The motor runs on 120 Volts, but the element needs 240 Volts. If that checks out, you would need to trace the wiring using the wiring schematic. That could be fun.
Hi, I am using LG Tromm DLE2514 washer dryer. It 's running but didn't dried the clothes. I clean it's lint but still it's not working. The one thing i notice now is it's drying light is blinking and cooling light is turn on all the time during the cycle. So what's the problem with my dryer?
You can go to diplodocs.com. You can do a search for both of them there. If they don't have them, it has links to other sites to help you find them. Hope this helps you.
