Jura F9-inside part fell off while pulling the tray. Cannot fix.

Hello, When I pulled a tray to empty the grounds a small part fell off from the inside. I don't know what the part is called (Tresterschaufel für die Jura Brüheinheit in German) - it's flat plastic 1.5"x5". It's not broken, however, I cannot find a way to fix it back. Do I need to disassemble the unit for that or it's better to send it for repair to Capresso?
Thanks.
Kris

I called Capresso and since my machine was passed warranty they suggested to continue using it until it really breaks. Then I would send it for repair paying a $200 flat rate and besides fixing the problem at the time they would fix the flap as well.
This works because this flap is not doing much. I think it's supposed redirect the ground coffee into the container but I found that actually the machine's inside body is less messy without it.
After almost half a year I'm still waiting for it to break (I'm using it quite heavily - 5 espresso per day) but I'm not looking forward to it.
BTW: F9 is much more reliable than E8 which I owned before.

Kris I have this same problem. Did you figure out how to replace the flap or did you have to take it in for repair.
Does anyone else know how to replace this plastic flap?

My jura j9 continues to show the error of "empty drip tray" I have cleaned the metal connectors in the back and cleaned and dried the back of the Machine. Please help

If the machine says TRAY MISSING it's the contacts at the back so clean as other people have stated, you can also use a cardboard nail file to clean the contacts at the back if there really dirty!.

If the machine keeps saying EMPTY GROUNDS even though you have, pull out the tray, look just inside the aparture where the tray goes top right at the front there is a small slot where if you look closely you can see a small white micro switch. This will be probably gunged up with coffee and the switch will be stuck up, get a can of WD40 and squirt a small amount up into the switch then poke the switch with a small screwdriver up and down until it moves smoothly.

Then replace all the bits, sit down, look smug and have a coffee cos you've fixed it!!

How do I fix tray empty message on Jura capresso z6?

finally found it - look inside the large opening where the entire tray part fits - all the way up front - just inside the opening, not in the back where the contacts fit, but way in front - there resides the white micro switch - loosen it up and voila! It works (after 4 hours of hunting, scraping, filing etc - it works like a charm - photo attached, I hope. Thank you RB5193!

Cannot get tray to go back in after emptying grounds

Unplug machine, wait a minute or so, plug back in while pushing the tray in as far as possible. It makes some noise as it resets and moves parts around inside. The tray then goes in easily.

Jura Impressa F50 - tray - fault 8

Hi, if you havn't already solved this one, it has been caused by pulling the drip tray/ dump box out while the brew unit was still active. Switch off the machine and insert the drip tray without the dump box. Turn the machine back on and the brew unit should re align itself.

Jura impressa f9 malfunction 8 i need help whats that

Malfunction 8 means that the brew unit can not get in the right position in the right time. This is usually because the brew unit is full of old coffee grounds. Try to shut down the machine for one day. The next day, take out the tray and clear out all coffeegrounds inside the brewunit. Use your fingers and maybe a small towel. You can do this right away, but it is easier when everything`s dried up. When all this is cleaned up, start manually a Cleaning program. This should solve your problem.

If it doesen`t, i could be that the o-rings inside the brew unit is defective and needs to be changed.

Missing tray error

Insert the tray-all of it except the grounds container.  The message disappears and you can wait until the machine continues it's cycle and then asks to empty the tray.  Empty the tray and place the grounds container back inside.  Whew, I've done this a few times over the years when I am rushing but it fixes it every time.
