I have a pioneer avh-p4000dvd everything works just the display is off it would sometimes flicker on and off but wont come back on

    I just started having the exact same problem last year. I noticed that it was weather (temp) related'ish. Still haven't found an actual fix yet, have you?

    Im have the same exact problem and i pluged and i pluged and unplugged the head unit and it solved my problem for like 3 days and did it again. HELP

There is a reset button on the left of the cd player. u will need a needle to hit the button. once u hit it, the screen will still say caution but when you touch the screen it will go back to your regular settings

Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD video goes black after 2 or 3 seconds. I can touch screen and it comes back but for only a couple of seconds. Audio is fine

You pressed the Disp. Off button on the bottom left corner. If you press it again it will stop turning the display off.

Pioneer recommends Pioneer ND-BC2, but you should be able to use any with a descent viewing angle and RCA connections.

Ipod problems on my pioneer avh

To be working the ipod need to be hook up with the cable cd-1200 (not sold with the avh)and to be plug to the ipod plug on the back of the radio..if you plug the ipod on the usb it wont do..the cable is around 30 $ ..it is the good way to play your ipod ..but if you have a ipod touch 2 generation like i have it wont charge ..if you have any other ipod it will be charging when in use..

Watch a dvd while driving pioneer AVH-P4000 DVD

ground the wire to a hot (ie power comes to the wire) switch in your dash, like a rear window defroster or seat heater. turn the switch on then off and it will trick the system into thinking you activated the parking brake.
