the printout of my minolta 2300DL is very bad. The blues look purple, the white in a picture has blue in it the red is somewhat faded.

Colour laser. Load an ICC profile like srgb for printer and use same in your image program. Tweak as req in image program to get best print output. In printing preferences use following quality settings. images=Perceptual Graphics=Saturation Text=Saturation

what colors are landed where on the tstat? and does the tstat wire that goes BOTH inside and outside have the same colors. also why are you in this situation, has everything been unhooked?
If that lines are consistent with the red and blue and it does not appear during black and white print that means the cleaning blade in the affected color units need to be replaced
registration error which mean the colors are not laying on top of each other, in this case magenta (red) and Cyan (blue) giving you purple, need to have a tech come out and run regisrtation procedures
You are printing a pictures that was made in RGB mode (red green blue). You need to convert this picture to CMYK which is how printers print.

Yellow cartridge is clogged or bad. If yellow is not being out put then it will throw the other colors off. You could print a yellow, light blue, magenta (pinkish) , and black squares using MS paint or other paint program. This will narrow down which cartridge has a problem.

The sound is coming from the new toner cartridges. The roller is sticking and causing the gears to make that noise. I removed the toner cartridge and manually turned the roller until it turned smoothly. (this a little hard but it worked). no more noise!
