Burned our fuse in circuit board

I have a burned out fuse in circuit board at the rear of my LG Model 23760 st fridge. The fuse is "Fuse 1, 125V 15A" and it is soldered into the board.
Ideas?

It is a 250V 15 amp. clip the fuse off the wire, close, and solider in a new one. Terrible design. LG should have to replace free or be sued !

Watch the video,it's most likely the larger glass fuse mounted on the mother board. Easy fix

2006 chevy trail blazer cruise contol does not work. Cant find a fuse under hood or under back seat. Help

Your owners manual should show you where the fuses are located. If you don't have an owners manual, you can go to
my.gm.com, type in your year--make--model and hopefully read your owners manual for free.
Do the brake lamps work ok?
I found these fuses, not only check fuses, check for voltage on fuse circuit, use a test light. Some fuses are hot all the time, some go hot with the key on.
Any codes for the cruise system?

Where is the rear window defrost fuse located and what color is it for a 2006 Ford Taurus?

Where can i buy a circuit board for my lg refrigerator model lfc23760st

No need to buy a new main control board !
The problem is mainly from the fuse that soldered in the main control board, go to buy a "125V 15A or 250V 15A" fuse ($5.00 a pack of 5 pcs), cut the burnt fuse from the board, re-soldered the new fuse into the board, the refrigerator work again. you save $80 for the labour cost of the technician and $180 for the cost of a new main board.

Refrigerator does not appear to be getting power, no lights, don't here motor running

If you have no lights or hear the motor running, I would check the house circuit breaker first and measure the voltage at the outlet. If that is within specs then the one thing that could cause your problem in the refrigerator is the power control board P/N: 6871JB2047A

My LG fridge model LFC 23760 ST is 1 yr old and has started noises when compressor kicks in. The whirring of the fan has gotten quite loud. Any ideas?

It could be that the cooling area is being restricted by something. Remove the front panel and take a look to make sure everything looks ok. You should have a warranty and I would sure use that before you have more problems...

The fuse in my LG refrigerator burned out and i have had the hardest time tracking down a new fuse. The fuse is soldered to the circuit board and rather than pay $180 for a new circuit board with the...

Radio Shak had it. I just did the same thing with mine and figured id try and give it a go myself. Turned out, $20 at Radioshak for a solder gun, fuse holder, new fuse and an hour of my time was worth it.
The difference between a "Fast acting" and "Slow burn" (also known as Time-Delay fuse) is one is for a resistive load, and the other an inductive load. Resistive loads are like lights and circuit boards, where the amperage is relatively constant. Inductive loads (time-delay) are motors, things that require a large in-rush current to get moving like the compressor on your fridge. Hope this helps.

I HAVE A 250V/9A FUSE TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THE BOARD THAT HAS BURNED OUT..I CAME HOME FROM WORK AND THE FRIDGE WASN'T WORKING. OPENED UP THE CIRCUIT BOARD PANEL AND THERE IT WAS.. CAN THE FUSE BE REPLACED...

Just replace the fuse, I just did it today (3/6/10). Unf. Radio shack only had an 8A slow-burn fuse so I used that for now but the fridge is working. I nuked the leads on the fuse so I soldered on some of the lead of a thermal fuse that I also got at Radio Shack (I just used the leads and tossed the fuse). I also put the fuse inside of a harness in case it needs to be replaced again, no soldering. Good luck!
