I am currently using Vista and I received a Windows 7 upgrade from ACER.
There are 2 disks as follows:-
1. Acer Upgrade DVD containing
Acer Upgrade Wizard
Applications, Drivers for Windows 7
2. Windows 7 containing
64 Bit software only
The upgrade Wizard was easily loaded.
The Wizard then requested the Windows 7 disk and started reading the information when it stopped and displayed the following message.
“The following issues are preventing Windows from Upgrading. Cancel the upgrade, complete each task, and then restart the upgrade to continue.
For these items, make the following changes:
Uninstall these programs. Open Control Panel and search for ‘Uninstall a Program.
‘’’Kaspersky Anti-Virus’’’
I cannot find this program on my system.
I have searched the entire computer including Non-Indexed, Hidden and System Files.
Try this:
Try downloading CCleaner, which is free utility that will clean out all your temp files and also scan your registry for issues.
When a program is uninstalled, such as Kaspersky anti-virus, not all registry components are cleared out.
This is particularly the case if the program was a 30 day trial.
The registry retains details of the original installation to prevent consecutive 30 day trials.
CCleaner should clean it out. Run the Registry Issues component until it reports no issues found and then try your install again.
