I haven't taken this particular model apart, but usually you have to remove the back. look deep inside for a tab that slides through the body of the indicator and out into the bezel locking it into place, but not so tightly that it can't turn. there should be a small screw holding it in place, you will need to loosen it and slide the tab in, that should let you remove the bezel and do what you need to do. re assembly is the reverse. Make sure you do this procedure on a clean bench with clean hands you really don't want to get any junk in the mechanism, or loose any pieces. sometimes there is a small flat spring opposite the retaining tab that will fall out and likes to get lost. Just watch for it and put it back if it falls out.

My Elna jubilee breaks needles like not aligned had it serviced but still doing it?

sounds like needles are wrong too long perhaps, or are the needles breaking when you are sewing, if so the thickness of the material, is too much for the needle, on jeans you cant use the little thin needles you have to put the right size needle for the material.

Replacing the needle

at the top of the needle shaft there should be a small screw and the machine usually comes with a tool to loosen it. loosen it just enough to drop out the needle. take note of which side of the needle has a flat surface and be sure to insert the new needle in the same direction. retighten snugly.

Why does my bobbin thread tangle around my bobbin plate

try changing the needle
Correct needle insertion is mandatory for proper use of your sewing machine.
Raise the needle bar to the highest point, then loosen the needle clamp screw to remove the old needle.
Place the new needle in the needle clamp with the flat side of the needle facing the back, (round needle, the groove in the needle should face away from the shaft).
Push the needle all the way up as far as it will go. Then tighten the needle clamp screw.

try rethreading the machine top

I cant load the needle into the sg tag attacher HELP!!!!

Turn the grey lever to the front, insert the needle all the way with the grove facing the side away from the lever (in this case towards me). The slider that places the tag on the garment will slide forward into that needle grove, Immediately after inserting the needle turn the lever towards the back of the gun. It locks the needle in place. If the needle pops out, you haven't inserted it all the way or you have the grove of the needle facing the wrong way.

How do I fix timimg on a singer 2263

There should be one or two set screws behind the bobbin shuttle, they could also be in the bobbin shuttle. You will loosen them st the timing and then retighten them. The Timing on a sewing machine is really straight forward, but that doesn't mean its not a pain in the but. When the needle is at the bottom of its travelthe hook on the shuttle should be coming around to meet the needle. As the needle starts back up it will create a loop in the thread for that hook to catch. Therefore the needle needs to start up before that hook is directlly in line with the needle. But the hook has to be above the eye of the neelde. So rotate it back and forth with no thread and watch to see when the hook passes the needle. It will probably take several attempts but you can do it. Do it in small movements. and only tighten the set screws enough to hold the shuttle in place to check it. Do not forget to retighten them.

Janomes sewing machine bobbin

Hi. Check to make sure the needle is in correctly. There is a flat side on the needle shank and that has to be facing a particular way. For most modern machines, the flat side of the needle faces to the rear, away from you, but it's always a good idea to check the manual to make sure on your machine. If the needle is bent, that can cause the same thing, but it's almost always that the needle is in wrong.

An old Pfaff machine has been donated to my project but I cant work out how to insert the needle.

If the machine bobbin area opens at the front then the flat side of the needle needs to be facing the back. If the machine opens at the side then the flat side faces into the machine to the right. There should be a little screw to the side of the needlebar to keep the needle in.
