Hi first thing to do here is to see where the problem lies. use a vga / monitor lead from your laptop to an external monitor or lcd/plasma tv in pc mode and by pressing fn and your monitor switch key think its f5 you should be able to determine if your screen is at fault, a common problem is the screens inverter or backlight bulb, if you manage to get an image on your external source then you its sure to be screen related wether it be the inverter/backlight/or even your internal screen lead this process can save money and time, you would then need to test the inverter to see if its this, the inverter is normally the cheaper option as the backlight can be a long tricky process.

I hope this has helped please rate :)

Screen Goes Blank

Ive seen this on other monitors. Look for a 1 and 2. Some monitors do NOT auto detect a signal, and this one might not. Look for a way to set the monitor from Digital input to VGA input. Try that and see.

My HP Pavillion will not load windows. Goes to a blank screen. It will run in safe mode though. Please help

...look like that your VGA card had a problem...unplug the power cord from your CPU and then...if you know how to open the case of the CPU then you can try to take out your VGA card from the motherboard...cleaning the VGA pin with soft and smooth cloth...then put it back to the motherboard...and also try to take out your memory from the motherboard and use the same as you cleaning the VGA and put it bank in the motherboard...and then try to turn in on again...if it's still a problem then try to use your VGA card to other motherboard and test it...if the problem still persist then you have to buy a new VGA card...

My monitor is blank?

Could be you monitor or vga card have gone bad. If you have a known working monitor connect it to your pc & see if it show something. I fit does, your old monitor maybe bad & maybe replaced. If it doesn't show anything, you vga card maybe bad. You can replace the vga card which maybe the culprit.

Acer Aspire 5720Z Notebook - Screen flickers, goes blank then comes back on when screen/lid is adjusted

It is most likely the connector between the screen and the motherboard that is loose/failing. I would check that first, before taking it in for repairs..
