This may or may not help--try taking the battery out and reinstalling it again. If that doesn't work, there's a chance that your battery needs replaced or the adapter input jack may have a loose connection at the motherboard (usually if moving the cord around at the computer jack input changes your power state, then that is the problem). Typically, aftermarket univeral adapters are cheaper than new batteries; however, it's been my experience that they are rarely the problem. Good luck.
Hi you said that if by moving the wire it makes a differentce thant its a loose connection....If i open my computer up will it be noticeable? and if not is there anything i can do to make sure that this is the problem? and if this is the problem how much do you think it might cost to replace it....it started last night and i moved the wire around got it to a good spot and it charged overnight but in the morning it slipped my mind that i was having an issue and now i cant even get it to show that its plugged in.... ugh
