If you can see the infrared signal on the remote with a camera, the issue is most likely not the remote. That unit is about 8 years old and has most likely gone to dvr graveyard. You cannot get parts for it that would be easy to change.

The normal transmission system for these countries is 576i (interlaced scan), so I suspect that you are only seeing the 576p indication because there are no channels, and your TV is interpreting this as progressive scan.

The reason for no channels may be a poor signal from the aerial, or that the device (Humax or TV) has not been tuned. If you have power-saving enabled on the Humax, it will not pass on the aerial signal to the TV when the Humax is in standby. If this is the case, either turn power-saving off, or use a splitter to feed the aerial separately to the TV and Humax.
