Have you tried a factory reset from the menu interface? Be careful if you do, and only choose "Format File System" as a last resort, and only if you feel comfortable enough setting up a FTP/TFTP boot server to re-provision the phone, as this option will erase everything, and then all it'll do is get stuck in a boot cycle until reprovisioned.

I thought I'd also ask to clarify, has the web server ever worked on this phone? It's possible the web server has been disabled in the configuration files (httpd.enabled=0).
If you have a boot server with these files, and you can access them, check this parameter. If you are not using a boot server, resetting the local configuration as I previously suggested should fix that, but you'd have to set up all of the other settings again, SIP server, line registrations, etc.

Polycom IP 501 won't reset to default when using MAC address as password

If your phone isn't on a constant reboot cycle and can boot up, then go into Admin Setting and do a Format File System reset. NOTE: Only try this if you know how to download the software files onto the phone via FTP server. Once you download the latest software your phone should be almost as good as new.

Soundpoint ip 501 cannot acees via browser

Are you using config files loaded from the server? If so, make certain they are properly configured. Also, make certain the phone does not already have an alternate configuration in it that points elsewhere...

I have a problem regarding my Polycom Soundpoint IP331. It doesn't boot anymore. It shows only an error which is error.cfg.

You need to reinstall all the files back onto the phone. You can get the files from the Polycom Website. You can also follow the instruction from my Polycom 501 Fixya blog to see how its done.

What is the default password for Polycom Soundpoint IP 320 SIP?

Default Passwords:
To get into the web interface, the default username/password is "Polycom"/"456" (Note that this does not work with Safari 1.2.2.)
To get into the Admin interface on the hard phone, the password is "456". (Prior to v1.3.1, the web interfaces to the phone uses "Polycom"/"SpIp" as the username/password.)
The "user password" (not used much) defaults to "123".

To reset a lost admin password to default: at phone boot, during the 5 second countdown, push/hold 468* on the phone. Enter the phone's MAC address as the password. This will reset network info but keep peers loaded. Tested on Soundpoint IP 650.

How do I find the MAC Address for my Polycom ViewStation ISDN Video Conference?

I just called Polycom and the guy said it starts with 0003 or 0004. Sure enough I had one of those numbers, it was the same as the serial number on the box the phone came in. This number is found on a sticker on the back side of the phone. Easy to find, but not labeled as a "mac address"
