American Standard Contemporary Kitchen Sink Liquid Soap Dispenser - 4305.20... Logo
Posted on Feb 22, 2010

I have 2 American Standard deck mounted soap dispensers in my kitchen. 1 is for soap and the other is for hand cream. They both worked for a few years, but now neither one pumps. There are no leaks. I have cleaned both thoroughly. Any suggestions?

All soap dispensers work on a siphon principal. There are o-rings inside these pumps and, over time, they dry out (even when surrounded by soap (which has an acid base)). Unless there is a way to dis-assemble these pumps and replace the o-rings, you may want to start looking for replacements.

How to install an American Standard goose neck 2 handled kitchen faucet, is there a step by step instructions with diagram?

American Standard has the Installation Guide for some of their kitchen faucets on each product's page. A list of some of their two-handle kitchen faucets is available here: https://www.americanstandard-us.com/kitchens/kitchen-faucets?No.%20of%20Handles=Two&page=1&plimit=21 . Home Depot has the Installation Guide for the Heritage wall-mount faucet with Goose Neck spout on the product page: https://www.homedepot.com/p/American-Standard-Heritage-2-Handle-Wall-Mount-Kitchen-Faucet-in-Polished-Chrome-with-Gooseneck-Spout-7293-252-002/100080273 . The current link to the guide is https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfimages/de/deca2fce-73fc-47a2-acb5-efc7232dac17.pdf .

These are standard plumbing installation guides. They condense most of the steps of the hardware install into one diagram/step of the guide.

I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please add more information on the style of your faucet. (Is it a wall-mounted faucet or a sink-mounted faucet?)

I have a Grohe liquid soap dispenser and the washer is leaking soap at the base of the unit. can this washer be replaced?

it is not available from Grohe but if you take it apart it is probably generic enough to be found at your local hardware store. assuming this the problem. it may just need to be tightened up a little. either way here is a link, w/an adobe file (specification sheet), regarding the specs about 1/3 down the page on the left. you can also purchase the soap dispenser here. hope this helps:)

How do you put the liquid soap dispenser back

The "bottle" screws in from the bottom. The "pump" is inserted in the top. I usually fill mine from the top without taking out the bottle. Too much of a pain. Just make sure the large nut holding the hardware in place is secure before you start assembling the bottom and top. If it's loose, the whole thing will wiggle around. Good luck!

Soap dispenser pump not working

I have the same problem after just about 6 months of use. I have checked to make sure it's full of soap, before you ask...I've run hot water through it while pumping and had success in pumping just water out. Then when back in the soap, nothing happens. Soap comes up about half way into the tube and sits. I now use it as a soap dispenser, dip stick style.
