Lock nut in engine

Please help me. I have fitted a new head to my 2000 ford courier 2.5 turbo diesel. I started the engine and it ran fine for a minute and then one of the tappets started to clatter. I turned the engine off and removed the rocker cover only to discover one of the tappet lock nuts has come loose and disappeared. I assume down the oil gallery @ the front of the head. Can this travel all the way down to the timing gears. or are the galleries to small for it to go thru to the sump???? Many thanks GV

No it can't, I can't see it going any farther than the oil galley on top, those holes are usually small and the engine tilts to the rear. But I don't think it went with the oil, it went with gravity and is probably right under neath the missing nut. If it does drop down it will be lying in the pan, waiting for you to drop the pan and find it. Take a magnet down there and see if you can fish it out. Good luck.

2005 Ford Courier GL 4X4 PH Turbo Diesel. What rear differential centres will fit my 2005 4x4 courier?

Without additional information about the specific model and trim of your 2005 turbo diesel 4x4 Courier, it's difficult to say exactly which rear differential centers would fit your vehicle. However, I can offer some general guidance to help you with your search.
The best way to ensure that you get the correct rear differential center for your vehicle is to consult the vehicle's owner's manual or contact a dealer or mechanic who specializes in your make and model of vehicle. They will be able to provide you with information on the exact specifications of the differential and any compatible replacements.
That said, some possible options to consider include rear differential centers from other Ford vehicles that share the same platform or drivetrain as your Courier. For example, the Mazda B-series pickup truck, which was sold in some markets as a Ford Ranger, may share some common components with the Courier. The Ford Explorer and Ford Bronco II are also possibilities, depending on the specifics of your Courier's drivetrain.
It's important to note, however, that even if a differential center from another vehicle fits your Courier, there may still be differences in gear ratios, splines, and other factors that could affect its compatibility and performance. For this reason, it's generally recommended to use a direct replacement part whenever possible.
In any case, I would strongly recommend consulting with a qualified mechanic or parts specialist before making any purchases to ensure that you get the correct part for your vehicle.

Where is the coolant temperature sensor located on a Ford Courier PE 2001 2.5L Turbo diesel?

Is that a WL-T engine? Just follow the upper radiator hose going to the engine head, or if your facing the engine, its in the left side at the back of a cam-belt cover, there's a small protruding brass with small terminal wire connected to it.
