1. Verify you are using the service pack that came out just before year 2000. It had improved USB support. 2. USB support was introduced to Windows in Windows 95b, it is possible your drive is a newer USB2 and not 1.1 and may not work in your machine.
Windows XP and Windows Vista and Windows 7 have built-in device-drivers for this pen-drive.
Microsoft (and probably Kingston) no longer support Windows 98/ME (since 2008) and no longer support Windows 2000 (since July 2010). So, device-drivers for those "unsupported" operating-systems probably are _NOT_ available.
Go to the web site, http://www.kingston.com , and select support. From there choose Flash Drives and pick the specific one you have. They do not have Win98SE drivers for their newest pendrives. I checked several different models and found slightly different drivers so I can't be of more help without more information.
You'll Find it is the USB ports..Not the pendrive .USB driver weren't found in windows until WIN ME. Look for USB drivers for WIn98 and it should work at at least 1.1 maybe not the 2.0 speed. good luck , have fun
windows 98 will probably need drivers installed before it can recgonize a USB flash drive:
I don't know which specific model of kingston drive you have, but if you go to this link, select the right model, and click on 'download win98 drivers' that should work.
Go to www.nokia.com
There, search for ur phone.
Download PCSuite.
Install it and connect the phone.
Now you can connect ur phone and access data in it.
