There should be little problem with it being left on all the time, the frame should be able to run indefinitely with little defect. Make sure there is nothing like drapes or books etc around the frame so it can give off the heat that will naturally occur from being left on all the time.

It is definitely NOT recommended to leave your digital photo frame running non-stop. Like all electronics, non-stop usage can lead to overheating. The recommended maximum usage time is 8-10 hours with at least a 30 minute cooling off period before turning it back on.

Donladed music from computer but will not play on frame

I had the same problem. Certain digital frames will only play certain music files. The one I had would only play mpeg4 & avi files for music. If its not noted in the instructions, serach by the make & model of your digital frame.

How do you transfer pictures from the computer to the digital photo frame with an usb

You have two options to play pictures. one is to put all the pictures in a usb drive and leave it plugged into the digital photo frame, other is to use a sd/mmc/ms card
Place the desired pictures in one of this supports and browse them in the digital photo frame.
Finally, hit "Auto-Play"

I accidently created a video in time lapse. Can you change it and make it play at a normal rate?

No...time lapse take one frame at a pre-determined rate of speed. There is no information in between these frames to stitch together to make a smooth video.

I upload video in the avi mode in the memory of my photo frame. When trying to play it the frame shows the icon with the name of the video name.avi (that is the video is in the memory) but on the icon is...

digital photo frames are not usually able to play videos...

however if the frame has this capacity, it sounds like you have an encoding issue, you should check which codecs (encoding decoding) are compatible with your "frame" and change the configuration of your video encoding/recording system to use a compatible codec

Picture frame won't turn on

Hello,

I would think sometimes it requires time to Charge the Battery before happy face on screen comes on...loL :). Try to plug in adapter cable, or power cable, and leave it plugged in for a bit. Then try again later :)

Digital time display upper left corner of picture

After going through ALL the digital menus and not finding the solution, I realized there were some physical buttons at the top of my frame. Hmmm... how quaint... wonder if they are any different? Apparently... so while playing the slideshow (different menu pops up if you are in home page) - press the setup button up top and you'll see the "enable clock display" option.

Cannot play videos in Kodak SV811 photo frame

Finally solved this one. My Kodak Sv-811 Digital Frame would not play any videos UNTIL I decompressed them. .mov videos are compressed, usually with mpeg2 or mpeg4 or h.264 methods. In Quicktime Pro (or any video conversion able program) under video options, choose "photo-jpeg" or basically no compression. The file is 3 times as large but it will play!
