There are several things to try.. first, isolate the source of the problem... get a universal remote (borrow one from a friend if you don't have one--get the instructions, too)...then program it for your tv...if the UR doesn't work, then there is a problem with either the tv or its remote sensor...try the troubleshooting guide for the tv or call the customer service line (ask if there are similar probs going around for that model..you might get some special incentive to quit ****, if so..) If it DOES work, then it's your remote...best thing to do is make sure that the batts are good (which you did....but make sure you didn't get a fresh set of batteries from the same bad lot - it happens)...then check to make sure that the connections for the batteries are not missing, broken, or bent.. Look for corrosion, loose wires, solder gone...anything you can see which might cause your problem...Nothing visible? send it back..or try to exchange it at the store you bought it from, if it's a currently selling model Hope that helps you
