Wii console not working correctly

Try cheaking your internet connection if your connection is fine try updating if its up to date then you should hard reset your Wii by going to Wii Options then look for Format Wii System Memory.
(Backup first if needed).

Everything is in there. If you still can't connect it restore and update your console you can save your game progress in a Sd card that worked for me.

This could easily be an issue with either your TalkTalk internet connection or your Wii. I did experience issues connecting my Nintendo Wii console at first too, but after getting a new router, it works just fine.

The Nintendo Wii console has never been a very good internet-enabled console anyway, and alot of wireless settings will not be compatible with it.

Make sure that your TalkTalk router is using WEP or WPA-PSK security. You can also try changing the Wireless Channel and MTU Size. make sure the MTU size is set at 1450, the channel can be anything, but only a few should work. You can access these settings easily by just going to Internet Explorer and typing in:

1. 192.168.1.1 for D-Link and Huawei
2. 192.168.0.1 for Netgear
3. 192.168.1.254 for Thompson Speedtouch

If TalkTalk did supply your router, then it should be one of the models mentioned above.

If you have any laptops or phones that use the wireless and it works fine, then it may just be the Wii console. TalkTalk will not support the Wii or any video game console so there's no point in calling them for support.

as with all internet connected machines they are prone to the same virus works but not as major but most just mess your connection settings so best is to check the settings if changed simply change back as that should sort it
