Reactivate account

If you have placed yourself on suspend mode. Only you can suspend your profile if your profile is approved and in good standing. Log in to the site. Go to `Members Home` then to `Your Profile and Information Block` and click on `Suspend`. You can re-activate your profile at any time by clicking on the `Re-Activate` button where the `Suspend` button used to be.
If your account has been removed in error, please contact Customer Service at [email protected]. Please provide the username and email address used at the time of signup.

My pc monitor is showing a box say dmps suspend status

The DPMS standard (Display Power Management Signaling) was developed to extend the useful life of PC monitors as well as to conserve the relatively high amount of energy used by monitors when not required.

In brief terms it works as follows.

The DPMS compliant video controller and the DPMS compliant monitor use the Horizontal sync and Vertical sync signals to control the power mode of the monitor. Because there are 2 signal lines, it allows 4 modes of operation. Normal, Standby, Suspend and Off.

Go to your power management source located in the control panel and make the needed adjustments.

Shut lid without logging off properly know it will not start up

Your pc isn't recovering properly from Suspend mode.

If it's an XP laptop I would recommend changing the Power Management options to Hibernate than Suspend. If it's a newer Laptop, than Hibernate won't take long to recover. I had to do this with my new Netbook.

If i leave it for 15 min it automatically grt shutdown?

go to your control panel (from teh start menu, or round blue icon in the bottom left corner) and look for power options. you can customize power settings in there, most laptops are set to go into suspend mode after sitting for a while to save power. you can set the amount of time that it waits before suspending itself, when its plugged in you can set it to stay on all the time. there are seperate settings for when it is on battery as well.

Window resume loader

Windows Vista doesn't shut down the machine by default when you press the power button. Additionally, if you look at the bottom of the start menu you'll see this:

6fe475d.jpg

The button on the left, highlighted here in bronze, does NOT turn the machine off in Windows - it suspends it, which requires power. When the battery runs down, the power goes out and you get this message the next time you start up.

Some laptops also indicate suspend mode by flashing the power light.

Happily, if you click on the little right facing arrow a menu pops up, one of the options of which is "Shut down" and this will bring Windows down properly and fully.

You can also change the function of the power switch (which defaults to suspend, NOT shut down) by going into the power options from Control Panel:

Selecting one of the above options will allow you to set the power button and closing the lid to turn the machine off fully, not suspend it.

Suspend mode

Try removing all hard drives from the system to see if you can get it to boot up at least. If so, place one hard drive at a time in the system to see if you can get it to boot as well. It's possible one of your hard drives may be fried, or, you may just need to reformat the drive fully.
