Sometimes, the screen of my l.g. viewty goes dead. the interface is there. The camera button works, and so does the call button, but my touchscreen does not respond to any touching!!!...plz help...
I had the same problem with my LG viewty. its so stupid why, you want to kick yourself.
on the perimeter of the screen, you see a tiny gap. in there are the digitizer for the screen. the screen works like a grid, one on the X axis and one on the Y axis. its not a software issue nor a screen. just a design flaw.
get a piece of copier paper. fold it nicely, and use the folded edge, run it in the perimeter of the screen and dig out all the ****, dust, dried sweat out of there. don't dig too deep or use compressed air. just dig it out with the piece of paper. you will see there is a lot of debris lodged in there. once its out, try your phone again and it will work. worked for me. i quickly bought another screen protector and now its my nice backup phone. i bought the sony ericsson X1 because i thought it was totally non usable. i guess not.
The viewty screen works using temperature. so if your screens cold and your fingers are warm it will work. try putting it in the fridge or in front of the fire.
Its not a solution but when mine freezes I use either method to get it going again
Get a new phone cos the viewty sucks big time.. lousy camera, lousy screen, lousy connections via usb, lousy interface, lousy everything.. I am sick of LG
Please checkout your phones LG service center and tell that he change your phones screen.

how to replace a lg viwtey screen
my veiwty has started doing the same thing today. the call buttons are working etc but the touch screen has gone crazy. it keeps going into phone book like it hasbeen pressed and wont let me exit that application or go into any others via multi tasking. it occassionally lets me open new txt messages but i cant reply. is there a way i can fix this??
