I'd like you to look at this motherboard, and compare it to yours.

It's an Intel Seabreeze T3 motherboard. My data states it was used in many computers, and the eMachines T3830 being one of them.

http://support.gateway.com/s//MOTHERBD/Intel2/2521776/4000979nv.shtml

On this page left-click 0n - Product Views, in the list.

On this page left-click on Q-Front Panel Header.

You have three twisted pairs of wires coming from the Front Panel of the computer.
One pair is for the Power On switch. (PWR, or SW, or SW1)
One pair is for the Harddrive Activity Lamp. (HDD LED)
One pair is for the Power On LED light.

IF, my information is correct, the Front Panel header on your motherboard looks like this,

http://support.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/Intel2/2519274/2519274mvr20.shtml

4 pins going across the top.
5 pins going across the bottom.

Notice although across the top is shows 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10, (In Red), there is No pin 10. Just a blank spot.

Pins across the Bottom starting from Left going to the Right, are
1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

Pins across the Top starting from Left going to the Right, are
2, 4, 6, 8.
No pin 10.

1) Pins 1 and 3 are for the Harddrive Activity Lamp. (HDD LED)

2) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On light. (PWR LED)

3) Pins 5 and 7 are for the Reset switch. (RST)

4) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch. (PW1, or PW SW, or SW1, or PWR ON, or ATX-SW)

5) Pin 9 is for the +5 Volt power

This is eMachines Support, and NG3 Hardware Reference Guide.

Should this not be the motherboard, let me know in a comment.

SOURCE: power switch wiring

Locate your battery on the motherboard. It should be near the edge closest to the front of your machine. Look along that edge for a two or three contact header (connector with stiff gold plated wires sticking straight up). Near the header you will see in very small white writing "PWR SW". That's it. If it isn't on that edge, continue looking along the edge closest to the bottom of your machine. It i along that edge on some boards.

Hi,
Rather than hunt for a diagram, take a metal conductor and short out the prongs two at a time until you find the two that turn on your PC. It is 100% safe to do this as you CANNOT damage the motherboard by shorting out the wrong prongs.

Best wishes,

The power button completely broke off my emachine T3090 desktop. How can I get computer to start-up without this button?

You should be able To just reach in there and press it anyways. It depends what emachines uses, but normally it is a little white plastic thing that the button pushes, because it does nothing itself.

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO CONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY FOR AN EMACHINES T1120 COMPUTER. CANNOT FIND A SCHEMATICS DIAGRAM ANYWHERE.

After reading an article about Emachines awhile back, I found out the reason you can't find the schematic- it isn't available, as some motherboards are made specifically for Emachines and therefore not distributed, as they might normally be, but again, others are, but you have to identify them and go through another source to get them- Emachines, appartantly, will not supply them. All is not lost, however...all motherboards have, basically, the same hookups and connectors for the power supplies, hard drives, etc.- they are standard. I found a web blog that explains the power switch, reset, and power led, which will help. Here it is: http://www.computing.net/answers/hardware/emachine-power-sitch-wiring/56545.html
This site will explain about the 24 pin connector from the power supply
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/53750-7-installation-manual-rs480m-w3400-emachine-motherboard
If you google "motherboard wiring" you will find sites that have illustrations of the motherboard, and explain which connectors go to which sockets, and how to identify them.
With a little patience and determination, you should be able to hook everything up from the various blogs on the net. Hope this helps.

Need to re-attach power button cable, hard drive

The manual for your computer is available from emachines, p.168 shows the info you need (replacing the front I/O panel)
http://downloads.emachines.com/userguides/8511279_eM_NG3_chassis_HW_ref_en.pdf

The good news is that you can't harm the computer by connecting the wires wrong and the bad news is they just won't work the way they are supposed too if not connected properly. The LED's must have the correct polarity to work.
In general, if you look real close (as in magnifying glass and flash light) you will see the ID for each set of pins is printed on the motherboard (pwr, rst,HDD,pwr sw,speaker) Just match what it says on the motherboard to what it says on the wires. Don't worry if you get the polarity wrong. If a light doesn't work just swap the two wires. The colored wires should be positve (+), though. The reset (rst) and power switch (pwr sw) wires don't require polarity.
These instructions are for most computers in general, YMMV.

Need wiring diagram for emachines t2200 motherboard

If you are replacing the power supply and it has 4 pin 12v conector and your motherboard doesn't, just disregard the 4 pin plug. The 20 pin conector will supply sufficient power for the processor. Many of the older motherboards did not have a separate 12v supply for the processor.

EMachine no power

Ok for a start the power switch is not green and white that is the power led, you need to look for a red and black wire normally marked on the connector and motherboard as pwrsw or pswitch.
if you believe it to be the switch unplug the connector and jump the connection on the motherboard using the reset switch or a jumper, or not recommended but have done this myself many times using a flat blade screw driver very carefully and touch the 2 pins to complete the circuit.
if it doesnt power on then its more than likely it is the power supply but the motherboard being faulty could also cause this to happen.
the problem i have found with emachines is that its difficult to get replacement power supplys
