Unfortunately it is a security feature to protect your data so no you are unable to change or reset it if you forget, about the only option is to reset your phone and loose all of your data.
try this :
first close your ipod touch
then press home and power button for about ten secounds then the ipod will be reset
BE CAREFULL ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE LOST !!!!!
If your iPod touch is password locked, the only way to get past it is to force the unit into restore mode by doing the following:
1. Plug the iPod touch in to your computer.
2. Hold the sleep/wake button and the menu button down at the same time. Keep them both pressed until you see the 'restore' screen (an iPod cable and an iTunes disc symbol) on the iPod touch. Release the buttons.
3. iTunes should now display the iPod touch, along with a message that the iPod touch is in recovery mode. Click the RESTORE button in iTunes to restore the iPod touch.
Please note that doing this will erase the contents of the iPod touch -- that's how the system is designed to work: a passcode lock is meant to protect the data on the iPod.
plug it into your computer and through itunes on
your original computer you will be able to reset
it. If it is not the original computer that you are using you will
be able to reset it but will probably lose the information on it.
If it was locked and you donot know the password then the only thing you can do is restore it using dfu mode hold both power and home button until it turns off and restart and show you to connect to iTunes. Then restore it. Let me know what happened.
OOPS, try this: connect it to your computer and click reset when your ipod nano comes
up on itunes. you should click on the ipod name in the left side of
your screen (lwhere the itunes library and store icons are located)
and there should be a button that says restore or reset your ipod to
origional settings. it will erase all passwords. Let me know if this helps
