If you could provide some more information, then I may be able to help. What part of the oven is causing the problem, i.e. top or bottom door. If the doors don't shut properly then this may cause the hot air to escape. If it is one of the doors, is it sitting square in the frame?

What I forgot to add last time was that the front of the cooker surround should be level, if not just in front of the adjacent cupboard doors. This will ensure that if hot air is escaping, it will not play onto the material.

The stove is 26 years old. Has been working very well. Now the two heating elements on the left side of the stove and oven are not working. The pilot lights come on. Fuses in good shape and 220 volts...

check the contact points on the rear of the element they burn off after years of use, if the contacts are still good, Look at the element itself for any white marks on the element, if you see any , the element itself has probably burned out and need replacing , to get to the contacts,, depending on the oven, remove the back they should be right in sight , if you do need to replace the fittings on the wire ends, be sure and get heat range connectors

You should really have a gap between the cupboards and the oven which would be stated in the manufacturers instructions (if you still have them) . I presume it is a free standing oven? You could try Homelux insulation board or stove wrap and is sold in B&Q.

We have a 5 ring Lofra oven (all gas) and live in spain and the seal on the oven door has perished - we need to replace it but it seems Lofra UK has gone bust and from reading reports, Italy is not helpful...

There are many types of seals that can be used which are universal and not specific. You must check with the Kitchen appliances spare parts dealer for assistance. Take along the sample of the gasket to get a look alike type.
Also there are many available in shops that sell penumatic tubings specially silicon gaskets. Only the groove need to match with the heat resistance characteristics.

How to fit new grill elemnt to stove type 720EF?

You have to remove the complete oven from the kitchen cupboard and then take the top and back off to give access to the wiring.
All the information is in the handbook, if you want a copy, then supply an email address, so that I can register it on my shared folder of the BT Digital Vault you for to take a copy.

They last 3-5 years depending how much you use your stove.
Disconnect POWER to the stove, remove the screws holding the lower element to the back of the inside of the stove, pull out carefully and remove the 2 screws holding the wires on. Check the element with an ohm meter, it should read 0 (zero or very close) resistance on an ohm meter. You may also take it to a store that sells replacements ($25) and they may check it for you.
