Just bought a new remote online for the Disney princess tv/dvd combo but will not work. It is the same one you get when you buy the tv. What can I do because my kids can't watch a couple of DVD because just asked if there is a parental lock on the T.V. and I can't change the answer from yes to no. What can I do?

Hi: Frist use your cell phone camera mode to see if remote is putting out IR signal, you should be able to see the Infared led light up on the cell phone display, if it does then remote is good and IR receiver inside the Tv is at fault. Just point the remote at you cell phone camera while pushing a button on the remote.
you have the hardest to find code for any tv my company has seen in 27 years the manufacture of these tvs have never released the code as have all other master tv companys my best advice is to purchase a really good brand programable remote as with a unit we recommend to our clients has 8000 codes and has never failed to detect a device. as with the cheaper remotes they have around 200 codes if your paying around $ 50 for it then it should have the backing code that will insept the correct inputs
You can get the original remote on Ebay. I purchased one for my tv and it works great. Plus it's pink!!!! If I were you I would look there to see if you can get the original one, rather then messing around with universal ones!!!
