and install the software before you recover
RESET: Go into the settings and scroll down to reset all, push center button, scroll to yes, push center this will restore factory settings.....
Reset All

My Sansa e200 series is stuck on the splash screen and would not response on any or cannot be recognized by computer. Please assist

Battery and Black screen Blue ring: Remove the back and check and see if the battery isn't fully connected
I put a folded peace of paper and put it on top of the battery also push softly but firmly on the Rubber rectangle above the battery (This is the Chipset For the screen, Black screen Blue ring ) and put the back on.
Sansa Not Recognized: Try connecting it to another computer the back straight to the motherboard thIs should be USB 2.0 and see if it will recognize it as sansa or Drive/removable drive. if it does then download the sansa update software and install it. Make sure you disconnect the sansa and connect it when asked. This will update your sansas firmware and add the Usb Mode. Try to connect it to your computer at home it should recognize IF not try a laptop.... link for update software (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe) download to a flash drive much easier. Make sure USB mode is MSC
Recovery Mode may also allow your computer to recognize the sansa

I have sansa sandisk e 260. last time, after charging it in my computer, i plug it out without having safety mode in the computer. After then i can not open my disk. when i try to turn on pressing on Menu...

1. Download the Sansa firmware.

2. Turn the player off.

3. On the top of the player is a Hold switch located.
Move it to the right so you see "Orange".

4. On the left hand side of the player is a Record button.
Press and hold the record button while connecting the player to the computer.
Continue holding the Record button until you see a new icon under "My Computer": named "16MB FORMAT".
Once you see that icon release the Record button.

5. Drag and drop the download firmware files to your player (16MB FORMAT).

6. Disconnect the player from USB cable.
Several things will be displayed.
When you see Key Lock, System Shutdown, move the Hold switch on the top back to the left.

Otherwise download the Sansa Updater and start follow the points 2-4 and start the Sansa Updater.
After updating the firmware follow point 6.

Sansa E 260

You have locked the keys, look for a switch with a red , white or orange lock icon and move it then try to turn it on. The switch should be on the side of the player, either at the top, bottom or sides of the screen.
