You're good. I've always had my 19 Ultra II hooked to the battery, and it works beautifully. This way you'll always have an outstanding power and ground connection.

Starter selinoid when touched on both sides wont start bike what next

If you are crossing the 2 large connections that's the same as having the wire running straight from the battery to the starter. If it's not starting then you either have a bad battery, bad connections from the battery, or a bad ground connection,,, or a bad starter.

How to replace the ignitor battery on a DCS outdoor grill

  • Open the two cart doors on the bottom front of the grill, if your DCS model has doors.
  • Remove the drip pan under the grill by sliding it forward.
  • Locate the 9-volt battery behind the grill control panel in the compartment directly below the "Ignition" button on the front of the panel. The battery is mounted vertically to the connection plate.
  • Pull the battery straight down to disconnect and remove, using pliers if necessary.
  • Hold the new battery in position below the connection terminals so that the positive (+) post on the battery is facing inward beneath the grill. The positive post is the larger of the two posts on the top of the battery. Push straight up to connect the battery.
  • Slide the drip pan back in place and close the grill cart doors.

Will not start. Only here clicking noise.

If you can move the flywheel or main pulley by hand the engine is not frozen, so its starter, solenoid or battery or connections to the starter or battery. Usually dead battery or corrosion on the terminals. Jump the battery to test using known good cables. Sometimes going straight to the starter with the cables is a necessary test to bypass hidden connection rot. Having lights is not a good test of battery capability.

Battery charger shows charged. however when tun throttle, nothing. no indication of loose wire connections. have a pocket mod

Make sure it is not battery or motor, jump the battery + & - to the motor + & -, if it works it will be the control box

30 minute fix for very cheap

ITEMS NEEDED
Get a Potter & Brumfield relay (5 poles)
2-3 feet of wire
4 female wire ends to plug into relay

HOW TO FIX
Take apart razor so you can see the black control box

Unhook throttle plug, this is the one with 4 wires (2 brown & 2 orange on mine)

Wire relay:
85: Ground
30: Red wire from switch to control box, if you wire this straight to battery it will work with switch on or off (killing battery)
87: Red wire to motor
86: Brown wire from throttle plug

Run a wire from 12v (battery) to other brown wire on throttle plug

END RESULT
When the throttle is activated, it closes the loop in the brown wires, triggers the relay, activates the motor

You WILL NOT have the throttle control, it is wide open or off when you activate/de-activate the throttle

This will save you $30 for a new control (brain) box.

I have a 2001 nitro bass boat an i am replaceing my 12v tolling motor w. a 24v. i installed the 2d battery and am ready to connect the wires. There are 2 positive wires, 1 states "battery a"...

Is this a straight 24V system... not a 12v - 24v.Correct..
The best advice is use a 50-60 amp resettable breaker..with 6 gauge wire (minimum 8 gauge) ... make sure your connections are clean, tight, and greased to prevent corrosion. USE a BIG HEAVY "jumper" cable between the + and - terminals.

Here are several sites that explain what you need to know..
I went from a 12-24v to a straight 36v Motorguide on my 21ft triton.. WOW!!!! talk about BAD A$$!!
I use the felt washers under all battery connections and the battery spray liberally on each connection..

Non starter ignition lights only come on when battery charger is on. starts when jump leads are connected. as soon as you disconnet leads dies straight away and no ignition lights. battery fully charged.

either the battery is not good or the battery terminals are bad.
the ignition lights should come on , if they do when the charger is connected.
I assume you are connecting the charger or jump cables to the battery terminals

Be careful jumping of a bigger battery it can spike the regulator when the engine starts and tries to produce 50-60 amps

Battery started to smoke

If the battery begins to smoke as soon as you start the player this means that there is a direct connection between the positive terminal of the battery and the chassis or body of the car. this causes a short circuit condition causing maximum current to flow thru the battery ( a very dangerous situation). Probably, if this is the first time you have turned on the player , it was not installed correctly. If it has been working okay for awhile and just started this ,then it is caused by a pinched power wire.Check the power wires from the player ( red, black, green.) the red wire should be connected to the fuse block of the car and it should have an inline fuse connected to the red wire. This wire should NOT go straight to the battery! The black wire should should be connected to the chassis of the car.The green wire can also be connected to the chassis of the car, drill a hole and drive a sheet metal screw in the hole and fasten the green wire under the screw and tighten. If the red power wire is run straight to the battery without an inline fuse and somehow gets pinched against the car chassis it will cause a short circuit, If the red wire is connected to the chassis or negative pole of the battery and the black wire is connected to the positive pole a short cicuit (smoking battery) will occur.
