According to the manual on the motorola website, the date and time is set automatically by the service provider upon connection and there is no manual means of setting.

Disable the "Automatic update" feature and set the clock manually. To do this go to Menu, settings, initial setup, time and date, Autoupdate>Off, then set the clock and date.
