Have a Sony Trinitron TV that is in Standby Mode. It was working fine and then all of a sudden it turned off. When I turned the TV back on it goes back in standby mode . the red lamp of standby mode keep on flashing. someone help me. please.

blinks - B+ over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode then
displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the

the high voltage was shutdown the high voltage exceed to 33k volt which goes to safety mode.you will need to check the regulator in the power supply and the horizontal output transistor.

Try unpluging from the wall and theplug back in and try turning back on to reset. Sometimes holding the power button in while pluging back in will reset it, every brand is different for the hard reset.
My Sony trinitron has the stero lite on steady and standby lite flashes four times then pauses and repeats. Can you tell me the circuit/condition causing the set to not turn on.
