CANNON MX330 CODE 5011 AND CLICKING NOISE IN SCANNER PART

The clicking noise is probably the scanner unable to move. Remove the scanner and check the belt is free to move by hand. Its possible some part has become dislodged and jamming the scanner. Sorry its a hands on fix.

The problem on my HP Photosmart C4240 is a loud clicking noise (like a ratchet slipping) when the printheads stop moving. The noise occurs when the head starts moving and when it stops.

hi ,

try and clean the print heads manually
and reinstall the printeads
disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer and keep pressing the power button for 20-30 seconds

follow the instructions from the below mentioned url
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00867260&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=3300219

if the issue is still not resolved its a problem with the printer and if the printer is in warranty call hp ion the toll free number-1800-474-6836
hopefully this should resolve the issue

thanks

Whwn i turn the heat all the way up loud clicking noise if turned lower noise stops what could this be notfan

I think your talking about the heater fan? If you hear more noise as you increase the blower speed, there is something in the squirl cage or a problem with the blower motor itself. Leaves, paper or something lite on the pass side floor, it will get sucked into the recirculation duct, causing a noise.Remove the blower motor and clean out any debris, and inspect the squirl cage and turn the motor by hand to see if you hear any noise

How do I refill my # 75 & # 99 ink cartrige for c4240 HP photo smart printer?

visit this link & get an idea of refilled cartridges for sale plus you will also get ishops same no. bu witten as COMPATIBLE. If you are frequent user of this printer then you could go in for refilled pack, but if you use it occassionaly then better to replace with original ink cartridge

Printhead problems

Hi,

It's likely that your printheads have just been knocked about a bit when you cleared the jam and all you need to do is to remove and then reseat them again properly...

Try this:
  • Open the main printer lid (not the scanner) :-)
  • wait for the printer LED to show the message about replacing printheads
  • Press and hold the OK button for 5+ seconds.
  • Wait for the printheads to move into the replacement position and wait 5 seconds more to be sure the printer isn't messing with you as sometimes it likes to move a bit more before it settles.
  • Lift the blue lid clear
  • Remove the printheads one at a time and check for any ink smear on the back part where a circuit board sits... This may need some gentle cleaning with a cotton bud
  • Check the contact circuit board in the actual printhead carriage (the bit where the printheads actually sit normally) and clean these with a cotton bud if these have become soiled
  • Replace the printheads in the correct slots and carefully push them into position
  • Close the blue lid and then close the printer lid
If the printheads are ok you should find that this will solve the problem and re-establish connection with the printer, cancelling the error. If not, it's possible the printhead is damaged but I'd give HP support a call first and request a replacement if you can (check the warranty on the printhead - they have this printed on them).

Hope this helps.

CLICKING NOISE

The clicking noise is the internal focus lens. The S500 and S600 are very succeptible to debris getting in the lens. Or, the focus lens was knocked out of alignment.
