I had to purchase a new power cord for my laptop. The original power cord was a PA 12. The store who sold me the new one only had a PA 10 which the tech said would work with my computer. I wanted to verify that it would be ok to use the PA 10 before I used it. Thank You

Thefollowing three conditions should be met for you to use this charger safely. Y 1)Output Voltage is within +/- 5% of your old charger's output.
For example, ifyour old charger provides 19.5V, then you can use a charger that provides 20.5Vor 18.5V.
2) Output Current is the same or higher than that of your old charger.
For example, ifyour original adapter provides 3.42 Amps, then you can use a charger thatprovides 3.42 Amps, 3.9 Amps or higher.
3) Connector tip must fit securely into your laptop. Reference:Dell PA-10 Adapter DellPA-12 Adapter

Dell laptop latitude D500 pa12 charging but not powering on

Try powering on without the battery and just using the power cord. If that doesn't work, do a hardware reset.
tip

My dell pa 12 won?t start ?

When i start my dell pa 12up and it takes 10 mins to load to windows XP, , when the windowsloading screen comes up the FANS go crazy. I then wait till i’m at thedesktop at which point i immediately shut down the pa 12(which takes afurther 7 mins) while the FANs are going crazy.

answer :

Now if i start the pa 12 again it works normally.

I had to do this procedure everyday, untill today when i switched the pa 12 on, waited till the desktop appaered and i removed the battery while the pa 12 was on..
17028ca.jpg
Now when i switch the pa 12 on it powers up but i’m not getting anything on the screen

First try a different AC adapter (such as :pa 10 ac adapter)

If no change then the issue is the motherboard. Often the AC adapter will fail then the battery discharges and you get the symptoms youdescribe.
SO AC adapter then MB

It shows no power on your laptop but it shows you the dvd player led comes on then off.

I would suggest try the following:

1. Remove laptop battery, optical drive, hard drive and ram. Remove external peripherals as well.

2. Make sure AC Adapter is not yet connected to the laptop. Pressand hold on the laptop’s power button for 10 seconds to drain the powerflea.

3. Connect the AC Adapter to a known good power outlet, check ACAdapter power LED if it is on. Try to sense if AC Adapter is not makinga bit of noise when it is plugin to the wall power outlet.

4. Connect now the AC Adapter (hp dv6000 ac adapter)tothe laptop. Check if AC Adapter LED stays on when it is connected tothe laptop. If the LED stays on means the AC Adapter is fine. If the ACAdapter LED turned off check the AC Adapter pin that goes to the laptopAC socket if it is loose.

5. If laptop AC Adapter stays on after connecting to the laptop try topower on laptop. If no power LED comes on then this is motherboardproblem.

6. Before replacing the motherboard there is one checking needs todo. If you can open your laptop bottom part then good, do this whenlaptop is not connected to any power source. Try to reseat the laptopCMOS battery then try to power on laptop after, if still fails thenreplace motherboard. I hope this helps.

Battery light blinking orange once, then green twice

LOL, It means whoever sold you that Power Cord probably sold you one with the interchangeable end that can plug into any laptop. If it's not the interchangeable end type, they sold you one that is not compatible with your laptop. Get rid of it in a hurry before it burn out your motherboard. You my friend need to get on ebay and purchase a power cord designed specifically just for an Dell Inspiron 1525. All you need to search for on ebay is Dell Inspiron 1525 AC Adapter. They probably cost less than $10

Toshiba laptop adapter not working.should i go for a new original or is compatible duplicate safe

I will not recommend you to repair it, it's a sealed box, not worth it. Just buy another one. Always a 3rd party adapter will be more cost effective. Toshiba PA3215U-1ACA

The power supply V1277 for a Dell Lap-Top does not turn on, it blinks once and stays off

You need to get a new power supply.
ANY PA-12 or PA-10 will work. You can get one from ebay just make sure you get an ORIGINAL Dell one, NOT a knockoff.
If you're in LA I can sell you one too ;)

Sounds like you need a new power adapter.

If you check the bottom of the laptop it will say For use with PA-12 or PA-10....sometimes PA-13. Check ebay for a NEW ORIGINAL charger, stay away from the knock-offs.

Adapting a 4 channel pa system to plug into a marantz cd310 digital recorder

What is the new Pa System Brand and Model. I am almost certain that every PA System sold has a stereo or mono out put and yes there are adapters to go from mono to left and right (stereo ) on your CD310 recorder. So, the simple answer is to look at the manual or even the back of the mixer to fins out where the audio is coming out of the mixer. The mixer on the pa system will mix the sources together for you. So, you might not need much of anything but a cord to get the audio to your recorder. You can send me the model number and I can give you the exact cord you need or you can take it to a near by store that sells audio pa systems and show them what you have and what you are trying to do and they will sell you a cord that will solve your issue.
