I have two pro 95 scanners...recently there was an upgrade for more memory to the 800 band here locally. When this happened my 800 band quit scanning on both scanners...this cleared itself up on its on in about 24 hours....it has since done this again and has not cleared up...I can manually scan the 800 bandd but it will not scan on its own...except for the old analog codes...is there something that I can do to fix this....it happened to both scanners which is very strange...all the ids and everything are still there...just will not scan 800 band on it on now....Thank you
You didn't mention your location or the type(s) of digital system signals you lost, but if you've been listening to an EDACS system it's possible that the manager has switched on the PROVOICE security option. That would prevent your scanners from recognizing the effected users and would also account for both scanners being effected. If your area is using EDACS I suggest that you visit www.RadioReference.com to check on system particulars.
The PRO-95 is also known for losing its logic and requiring a RESET or INITIALIZE, although it would odd for two units to go squirrelly at the same time.
If all else fails, you can RESET or INITIALIZE the scanners to bring them back to normal operation.
To RESET:
- Power the scanner OFF
- Power the scanner back ON
- Insert a pointed object (paper clip, penpoint, etc.) into the RESET hole on the back of the scanner
- Gently press and then release the RESET button inside the hole.
NOTE: RESET will NOT erase the data that you've programmed into the scanner.
If RESET doesn't clear the problem, you can carry out the more drastic INITIALIZE process.
- Power the scanner OFF
- Power the scanner back ON
- Press 0 then 1 while "Welcome to Dual Trunking" is displayed.
- "Initializing Please Wait" will appear for about 2 seconds.
DO
NOT power the scanner OFF until the INITIALIZE process is complete
(M000 and Bank 0 Ch 00 appear on the display). The INITIALIZE procedure
will reset the scanner to original factory settings and erase all data
that you have programmed.

Both are identical using the motorola system....you can manually move from one 800 freq to the other (still have the ids,etc.)...but when you hit the scan button, the only thing that comes in is some old analog county frequencies...when working correctly, it scans both 800 and the analog....what I normally do is wait until for the 800 freq. that I want to transmit and then hold truck button down to simply lock in place to listen without interruption. I'm lost
