F30 err keeps showing in the display and the oven wont work

  • soapchick Mar 16, 2008

Oven does a lot of clicking initially, then everything seems fine.

Then it starts beeping like crazy flashing either F1, F2, F3, and lately F30 and shuts off. I have done the unplug thing eveytime I have to use the oven. This is a major problem when baking and consistant heat is a must. Help!!!

Hi i have Frigidaire electric stove model# ples389ecd stove part works oven displays f 30 and half of key panel doesn't work. Replaced board, key panel , probe still have f 30 problem and key panel...

Hi u_odil,

The F30 on your display means that your oven thinks that your oven sensor is shorted. It's either a bad oven sensor or a bad display relay control board. You can't test the board but you can test the sensor. Open the door and remove the 3-4" long thin metal rod attached to the back wall. There are 2 screws holding the sensor on that you can remove and then pull the sensor forward until you can disconnect it. With a multimeter, check the resistance of the sensor at room temperature and it should be about 1080 ohms. If it's not, replace the sensor, otherwise you need to replace your relay board.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I have a professional series frigidaire glass top stove and whenever I press the bake button or any other button like to set the clock F30 Err shows. what does that mean?

F30 Open probe connection.

Check resistance at room temperature & compare to RTD Sensor resistance chart. If resistance does not match the RTD chart replace RTD Sensor Probe. Check Sensor wiring harness between EOC & Sensor Probe connector.

Check resistance at room temperature, if less than 500 ohms, replace RTD Sensor Probe. Check for shorted Sensor Probe harness between EOC & Probe connector.

Our figidaire electronic stove/oven model PLES399ECD, serial number NF62311528, mfg'd 2/2006 has an error code for F30 when any program is selected. The manual does not list F30, what is F30?

Open (F30) or shorted (F31) RTD sensor
probe/ wiring problem. Note: EOC may
initially display an "F10", thinking a
runaway condition exists.

1- Press Cancel key.
2- Check wiring in probe circuit for possible short or open
condition. Check RTD resistance at room temperature
(compare to probe resistance chart). If resistance does not
match the chart, replace the RTD sensor probe. Let the oven
cool down and restart the function.
3- If the problem persists replace the relay board.

F30 ERR message on Frigidaire Professional Series Range

I am a tech and just had this happen to me, so I can feel your frustration. I have replaced the temp probe, erc, and still had the problem.
Open the back, with the unit unplugged. On the lower right hand side there is a relay, beside the relay there is a "safety T-stat" disconnect from the circuit by removing one wire and read for continuity. If none is detected, replace t-stat and voila... stove works. Much cheaper than erc and probe...

F30 Erorr on stove...

The fault code shows that your temperature probe opened.

1. Check resistance at room temperature & compare to RTD Sensor resistance chart.
If resistance does not match the RTD chart replace RTD Sensor Probe.
Check Sensor wiring harness between EOC & Sensor Probe connector.

2. Check resistance at room temperature, if less than 500 ohms, replace RTD Sensor Probe. Check for shorted Sensor Probe harness between EOC & Probe connector.
