the main reasons may be
1. dust gets accumulated in the joints.
2. or the lens ( i mean the part which comes out) had been jammed because of the first reason.
u can solve it by just blowing air over that part (be sure to off the camera). or use a mini vaccum cleaner, if you have guarantee then dont use this methods coz this can make the guarentee void.
Hi there some how your camera lend guide pin is damaged & thats why its not came out. For safety reason the camera auto off after pressing the power button. Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

this usually happens when lens are stuck, the reason for this is duct, could be the camera has dropped down, or the gears are jammed, now to make it work, while switching your camera on, try to tap very gently, near the lens, should make it shake in prior to make lens come out from jammed position, try this several times...it should work, if it does not, then take it to qualified service tech
It is a lens issue, will need to go in for servicing. Possible reasons are knock or grit/sand in lens unit. If you have had it to the beach on a windy day try holding it over a piece of white paper with lens down about a foot away from the paper, give it a few taps on the bottom and see if sand/grit comes out. I fixed these camera's for 4 years and 90 percent of the problems were droppage/ sand related. SORRY.
Have had this problem too. Took it to camera shop who referred me to repairer (email [email protected]) located north of Brisbane. Fixed the lens by refurbishment of lens. Cost was reasonable & tiem about 14 days. I was very happy.
The motor drive is shot.
Depending on age Fuji's Tech Support team may have a solution- If out of warranty I believe they have a reasonable swap out solution
A repair will be expensive probably not an economical proposition
yeah young sisters are dangerous , well unfortunately she hit or dropped the camera , so the lense wont come out.one you can LIGHTLY TAP THE LENSE WHEN OUT or go to the sony repair center and it will cost you around $200
