I have a LG Lotus through Sprint. My husband was using it and I want to do a master reset to take it back to factory default settings. Can you tell me how to do this?

You cannot use a Sprint phone with at&t service even if you get it unlocked, Sprint phones do not use SIM CARD and AT&T uses sim cards for their service.
if you want to reset to factory defaults you will have to call sprint to get your MSL (master subsidy lock) number. Then dial ##786# from your device, enter the MSL, seletect reset ok, and ok to reset and it will return all factory default settings to your device, You will lose ALL info on this phone, including contacts, pics, music, and apps.
hard rest - you will lose the data - if things does not return to normal after hard reset - an image refalsh should fix the problem - if under warranty - authorized service center should do that for you if out of warranty, there are 3rd party flashers out there who could reflash your phone for a very reasonable price
As long as you know your security code you can retreive your lock code. On the Lotus dial ##3282# scroll down to Advanced, choose View, then scroll down to option 5 which should be the Lock Code and select it. You will need to enter your security code here which typically is 6 zeros.
