My Sony VSC 1 camera is not turning on!!!! The charge went out and the camera turned off. After that it's not turning on. What do I do?

This doesn't seem to be a very well known model. It is not even listed on their website.

There are normally two batteries, a small one that just saves memory and runs the operating system, and a larger battery that actually powers the camera. Try contacting Sony direct

Either your camera is shorting the battery or the battery is no longer holding a charge. The easiest solution is to try a different battery. If that doesn't work the problem is with your camera.

Battery was diconnected for 1 minute and then reconnected. All lights are off.

As long as the "VSC OFF" is not illuminated, the VSC is ON.

1= Use rechargeable battery cells and must be fully charged.
2= Check battery terminals in camera battery compartment. Must be cleaned and shiny.
3= Sony camera DCS-S600 won't charge batteries through USB cable plugged in PC. You need external battery charger to charge battery cells.

when i turn on the camera is beeps then turns off with brand new batteries. it does the same when i plug it into the computer. I press power it says cyber shot then turns off. i know batteries are not the problem, what is?

i had this same issue but i swaped my rechargable batteries with lithim energizer ones and the problem went away it seem that they were not holding the charge

Please make sure that the battery is fully charged. If the issue persists, try with different battery.
