Fax wont send

Check the electrical contacts on the cartridge as well as the inside of the unit - they may not be seated properly or the contacts are dirty. Also, check the florescent lamp that emits light for any "white out" residuals that may have accumulated on the lamp - you can check this by allowing the lamp to emit light such as when sending fax or performing a copy.

Is it when u send or recieve faxes!If on sending(open the part where u put in the faxes to sent!U will see a big black roller and under that a small black one,undeer that a long strip of glass,make sure that there's no marks of any kind on the glass!If recieving it might be on the fax that is sending the fax!Good Luck!

You have a bad or DIGITAL phone line. Test with a regular phone.

Open up the document feeder and look for a trapped down or sluggish switch

Recieving faxes

• Plug a regular, non-digital, phone into the fax's phone line and see if you get a dial tone
  • If you do not have a dial tone, seek support from your telephone service provider
• Dial the fax number from a phone    
  • Normal circumstance is that you will have the fax machine pick up and make high-pitched noises
  • If the fax does not pick up, put a regular phone on the fax line and see if the regular phone rings when dialed
    • If the phone rings, answer it and see if there is line noise
      • If the line is clear, call the service number listed on your fax
      • If the line is staticy or unclear, call your telephone service provider
    • If the phone does not ring, call your telephone service provider

Sending faxes

• Attempt to dial the fax number you are trying to send to from another phone.
  • If you hear electronic noises on the line, the other end has a fax machine on the other end
    • Check to see if you can recieve faxes.
  • If the remote fax does not answer, the problem is on the remote side, contact the recipient

DR mode means that Distinctive Ring is set to on which will force your fax machine to manual receive. Turn DR off and you can set it to whatever mode you want.

Check receive mode, probably set to manual receive.

There should not be a problem with TX on LGL paper. If you want to configure the machine to recieve LGL on a regular basis: Press "MENU" 1-3. Then use the up/down arrows to select LGL. "MENU", "EXIT". That should do it. Good luck!
