No RCA jacks stock, But Iron Cross Audio had a custom program to install RCA preamp outputs into that unit. (www.ironcrossaudio.com)

Is it possible to install aux 3,5 mm plugg?

Probably not, but you can buy a 3.5 mm.-to-RCA adapter cable to hook up a device with RCA (L/R) AUDIO OUT jacks (and no 3.5 mm. headphone jacks) to your Harman Kardon speakers which, I assume, have only 3.5 mm. LINE/AUX IN jacks (1 or 2).

Harmon kardon hk3270 shuts off after only being on about 10 sec

Disconnect speakers and wires. Bad wiring or defective speakers may be loading the amp down and causing the protection circuits inside to disconnect (no sound). If the HK is heating up (beyond what you perceive as normal) with no wires or speakers connected then you have a problem requiring expert repair.

How do you hook up a sharp stereo cassette deck RT-W800

If that tape deck of yours has an audio line out jack (like the RCA red & white holes, usually located at the back), get an RCA plug to connect it to your stereo receiver's line in jack..... or

if that tape deck of yours doesn't have an audio line out jack but, instead, has phones (or headphones) jack (usually located at the side or front of the unit), then get a plug to connect it to your receiver's audio line in jack (RCA type, also coloured red & white).. Usually the plug is small so you may have to use an adapter for your tape deck's phones jack.

I have a Harmon Kardon HK 3370 Stereo Receiver and a Samsung LCD LE40C530F1W. When I connect the stereo Aux jack to the LCD Audio jacks ( red and white rf cables ) I get no sound out via the receiver.

Obviously make sure your stereo mode selector is set to AUX and the volume on the stereo is turned up at least a little when you test it.

If you still have no luck then try increasing the volume on the TV as well. You may have it set so that the level of the audio signal leaving the rear output connectors on the TV varies with the TV volume. That way if your TV volume was turned down or muted when you tested it, then you would not hear anything coming through your stereo.

There should be a setting in the AUDIO OPTIONS menu of your TV where you can switch between a VARIABLE AUDIO OUTPUT and a FIXED AUDIO OUTPUT level.

With the FIXED audio output level, you control the volume of the TV audio coming through the stereo speakers with the stereo remote only.

Otherwise it should work.

Good luck.

My harmon kardon hk 3475 has very poor sound, almost none at all. it does this through all inputs. if i hook up through the line input it sounds ok but i have to use the volume control on my mp3 to turn up...

Poor sound or low volume?

Sudden onset or always like this?

When you say this, "if i hook up through the line input it sounds ok ", what exactly do you mean? What alternatives are you using to Line Level inputs. All inputs except Phono are Line Level.

How does FM sound?

How is the MP3 player different than anything else, hook-up-wise? Do you have it jacked into the Main In? That would bypass all signal processing and selection in the receiver.

There should be jumpers between Pre Out and Main In. Are they there when you DON'T have the MP3 player plugged in there? If not, install a short pair of RCA cables between them.

Describe what is hooked to what in detail. Have you checked to make sure the Mute and Tape Monitor (T-Mon) are NOT active?

Ipod to harman/kardon

Using a headphone to RCA adaptor plug the headphone jack into the headphone connector of the Ipod. Then plug the RCA jacks into any available Analogue input on the receiver. Increase the volume on the Ipod to 80% then adjust the receiver's volume according.

Or get a dock that will allow remote control and charging, such as Roth, DLO or Wadia.

Was using the harmon kardon avr 225 receiver and the front panel went out. .... screen display of the channel number, volume, or menu item does not work. ...

Try hooking up a yellow video wire from the back of the AVR 225 Monitor out. Should be at the end of the 7 or 8 yellow video ports on the back of the stereo. Next plug the other end into a yellow video in on a t.v. Get your remote, (Harmon/Kardon) and make sure the t.v. is on the correct video input and hit the OSD(on screen display) button on your harmon remote. There should be a setting in there that says VFD under ADVANCED menu option that allows for turning the front of your stereo lights on and off and dimming them half way also. OFF/HALF/FULL are the 3 options I believe.

If this doesnt solve it your display may have crapped out on you.

Auxilary RCA inputs have no volume control

Your problem stems from the fact that the CDA-7892 is not equipped with an RCA aux-input jack. If you're plugged into RCA connectors at the back of the head unit, they're outputs, not inputs. The sound you hear is just feeding back through the outputs and into the head unit's amplifier. If you want to play your iPod through this head unit, you need to purchase either the auxiliary input adapter (KCA-121B) or iPod adapter (KCA-420i).
