Just finished with a new homebuilt system, I used an ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard and an AMD Phenom II X2 550 Dual Core AM# Socket Processor. My motherboard will not boot, screen is getting no signal...

I have published some guides and I have posted them below, go through them, they will help you a great deal.
I have had the same thing happen to me, try every-thing you can as described in the guides. Maybe there is some-thing new to try.
If all else fails then the best bet is to get warranty support for your computer mainboard. Your mainboard is the most probable cause of system failure.

The published guides I talked about;

Power keeps shuting off while installing Windows XP (remaining 20 mins) 1) ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO AM3 AMD 785G HDMI ATX AMD 2) AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 3) G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB)...

It sounds like some-thing is overheating, an over stressed power supply or poor ventilation could be your problem.

See your power supply is Max 300W that's peak not continuous power output. I think it will only be able to continuously output around 250W of power. Which is below specifications for your computer mainboard.

The Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus range of Power supply's are an excellent choice.
I would recommend a 460Watt with 120mm fan at least.

Flashed bios and now pc will not post

Hi!

You got a bad flash. You need to have the original bios firmware from the motherboard official support website.

You need to restore it using the DOS base method. Make a start-up disk and put there the bios firmware.
Insert the disk when you turn on your computer.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for reaching Fixya.
