Is there a way to program more water in the filling program other than stopping the washer and adding water

Some machines work on the water "back pressure" and if the pressure is too high then the water will cut off prematurely in a similar way to fuelling up your car in that if you pull the trigger all the way and allow it to fill faster then the trigger cuts out. Take the nozzle out a bit and fill slowly and you get more fuel. With this in mind, throttle back the water pressure at the feed valve and see if that helps. It will take longer to fill and rinse, but should allow more water in the fill cycle.
Also, the more modern, so called "eco" or "green" machines use less water by design.

Duet front load - water fills while door is open!

This is a leaking solonoid valve.
The valves are located just inside the machine where the water supply hoses attach.
  • Remove the power plug
  • Undo the top lid of the washer
  • The valves will have some internal pipes clamped on their outlets. Remove the pipes.
  • Dry the valve outlets with tissue.
  • Turn on the water supply to the washer (if it was off)
  • Watch the open valve outlets for seepage.

There may be between 1 and 3 valves depending on the model.
You should be able to replace the leaking valve quite easily.

Lets in to little water

Washing machines work a little like when filling up the car with fuel. If you feed it in too fast it keeps stopping delivering. Try reducing the water pressure coming into the machine by throttling back hose inlet at the tap by closing it slightly. Will take a second or two longer to fill but will allow more water in before cutting off.

My hoover washing machine will not stop fill with water it keeps overflowing can I do anything to fix it?

Does the water come in when the machine is off ? If so, the fill valve is jammed open and needs to be replaced. If the water only floods the machine when the machine is on, it is most likely the preasure tube is blocked or the preasure switch is faulty

Possibly food blockage. You can try shooting some air under pressure into the fill hole to blow it free. A simple shop vac on "blow" may be enough if you do not have a small compressor. Other possibility is the exhaust going into the garbage disposal is blocked so that the water cannot exhaust and any amount added floods the unit. (first item is most likely).

What controls the water cut-off feed during cycles and when dail is set in off position.

There are electronically turned on and shut off water valves that are controlled by a water level sensor which varies based on what load size/water level you need Small, Medium, or Large. So if the valve gets stuck open since it's an old machine, the water will just keep coming in. But let me ask you this? If you turn the house water value on n NOW...will the wash machine just start filling? If so, it means your valve is stuck open so you would need to replace the water valve which is like $50 online. If the house water valve is on, and when you start the washing machine it starts filling, but just keeps on filling...that's probably because your water level sensor is messed up. So you have 2 things to check...is it the washer water valve is stuck open? or is it the water level sensor that isn't sensing when the washer is full so it just keeps filling it.

Could be an iffy valve/ solenoid. One test is to see the empty machine slowly fills up with water, if you leave it for a few days. You can isolate teach valve by turning each feed off in turn. i t could be leaking all through the cycle. If it is flooding during the spin I'd check your pump at well. Hope this helps.
