Hello, our 'ultra' quiet dishwasher is now starting to make a humming noise during the wash cycles. Ther is nothing in the wash module so I have no idea what this could be.
the filter is clogged where the water goes into the pump. It is usually a screen type ans easily cleaned. Remove the bottom sprayer to access it.the filter is clogged where the water goes into the pump. It is usually a screen type ans easily cleaned. Remove the bottom sprayer to access it.

I too had problems with the Kenmore Elite (aka Bosch). The issue was solved by replacing the Lock Sensor on the door. After replacing the sensor the dishwasher has been working. Hope this helps.
A sound during certain cycles indicates a broken part. By the information provided sounds like a pump may be the problem. You may need to contact a service tech about this issue. If the appliance still under warranty, the service should be provided for free.
Every time when you hear noises (other than the normal ones) in the appliance, it indicates there is something wrong and it will worsen over time, so as soon you hear something is not ok, get assistance.
have you ever seen green led "Clean" light flashing? before or about the same time the buzzing sound started? and if so that would indicate that the control senses a fault in the temperature rise during the heating cycle and that the electronic control could be reset by initiating a service diagnostic cycle.(which is what you were trying to do) pls reread your manual there are times during that sequence that some buttons have to be pushed at the same time and within a certain amount of time..possible that your machine also has a bad timer which would give you a buzzing noise..if thats the case I would recommend replacing the cpu or control board..or the machin all together..The Kenmore Ultra Wash Quiet Guard name is sears but whirpool has the contract to produce all "kenmore products.hope that helps.
empty out the unit and recheck the arm and rack then start it up empty and check operation --if huming but working properly --stated it does drain so motor is operating ---then its operating normal ---if arm still not working will need to remove arm and check gear or shaft for damage
If you post the model number of your dishwasher plus its approximate age (in years) I can help more.
But the most common cause is a weakening pump motor. On many dishwashers, the wash pump motor is also the drain motor. Replacing that motor / pump assembly will solve the problem. While you are replacing the pump, check the heating element to confirm that it is not shorted out or broken.
For now, add a cap full of bleach to the water _after_ the initial dishwasher fill cycle ends and the wash cycle begins. White vinegar would also work, but this will not fix your problem.
Yes the wash arm can be removed to get to the sump area. Take the model number for your dishwasher and enter it into a site like partselect.com. There you can get a blown up diagram of the components that need to be removed to get to the cause of the grind noise. Usually a seed or some other hard object has found its way down there.
there is no real way of checking the keypad. Not with a meter but if you push normal wash for example and it does not respond this usually means that you have a bad keypad
If it is not overfilling, and then leaking, the whirring noise can be a defective water inlet valve, that stays stuck on open, see here : It's overfilling
If it is not overfilling, the two problems may be unrelated, and the noise can be froma foreign object inside the object trap.
my easher is not spraying on top rack or bottom .
