Whole screen took on bright yellow shade as if projector bulb was yellow, how do I get back to normal

The whole screen isn't yellow, just a large blob in the centre that looks like a tin of paint has been thrown at the screen

The projector begins to show white pin holes on the screen, then more and more until the whole screen is filled. IS there any way to stop this from happening?

I can't imagine a setting that would cause this - It sound more like some sort of fault with the projector's blue LCD panel. (The image is created from a mix of red, green and blue light. If you loose the blue, everything will look yellow.)

Is it capable of showing any shades of blue?

Using any graphics or photo-editing software, create a solid blue image (R=0, G=0, B=255 in your colour settings) and if possible, display this full-screen. Is there any output from the projector at all when you do?

If not, it sounds like it need a professional repair.

My screen is yellow with grainy lines. I replaced the bulb (after only 776 hours), but the problem persists even with the new bulb. Is there another part inside that may need replacing instead?

The organic polarizers can get burnt by the bright light after a long time. The blue one is most susceptible and results in a yellowing of the projected image.
You can see if it's damaged when the optics unit is dismantled.

When i put a new bulb in my projector panasonic ptae1000 its shows green how do i fix this

A new bulb may just be showing up a problem that wasn't apparent with the lower brightness coming from an old bulb.
Try putting the old bulb back in and look very carefully and see if the problem is still there.
If the green is uniform over the whole screen then it may be fixed by setting a colour level change in the menu.
If it varies over the screen then it is probably a polarizer affected by age and heating.

Yellow image produced by DP8200x

the light filter on the blue lcd is fried and needs to be replaced. it makes sure only blue light comes therough that lcd panel. when it's light is blocked from coming through, only the red and green lights can be seen, hence the yellowness (red light+green light=yellow light). it's common with lcd projectors. unfortunately, you can't buy that piece seperately. you need to buy the entire optical engine, which isn't cheap (almost $2000).

Sharp notevision xgnv6xu oval yellow spot

I have a similar issue with yellow pattern on the left and top right of my screen. Took it apart and found the blue lcd had damage that matched the yellow area that was projected. I thought it was the lens but it was the blue lcd .It has gone bad and no replacement. Are you interested in selling the bulb or the whole projector? I have since purchased another projector and am keeping the bad one for spare parts. Hope this helps..Ben

Hitachi projector model CP X260 projects yellow spot on screen

This is probably the polarizing filter. It will need to be replaced. It should not cost very much to fix.

Infocus LP240 Projector

The bulb won't do that. What you're describing sounds like a light tunnel failure.
