The problem could be your display. Use the VGA port on the side of your laptop to connect it to a computer monitor, this will let you know if your system is posting or not. (If you see the Boot Screen it is posting).
aside from the battery (big one) there is another battery connected to your motherboard, it is not accessible unless you open the casing of your laptop.
bring it to a service center and have it replace(it is almost a size of a watch battery)
It's on the motherboard and you'll have to take the system apart to get to it.

Take a look at step 16 ... "Lift off the battery board with the RTC battery to disconnect it from the system board. "
So you'll have to get to at least step 16 ...
I'd recommend you take it to a local repair shop as this isn't something for the faint of heart.
