Dell 1100mp data projector

When the projector is running for 20 minutes the image on the projected screen freezes. The fans remain running and the projector can only be shut down by eliminating the power supply. The unit gets very hot

This is a very common problem with these projectors. The fans slow and then lock up and the units are out of warrenty. The fan you replace it with must be the exact same as the old one, even though it is the same as a 5$ computer fan. The processor will detect the non-dell fan and shutdown in the same way. I Havent been able to find any replacement fans that will work. I may be interested in buying your broken projector from you if you give up.

Email me at: nalexandrov251[A-T]gmail.com and we might be abe to work something out.

How do you hook the lcd projector to a portable dvd player?

The Dell 1100MP has SVideo and RCA input connections you can use, it all really depends on the type of video out connection that your portable DVD player has.

Sounds like a broken fan. There is two fans fitted, if one stops working the it activates a thermal cut out. I purchased a fan from ebay for £5.00 incl postage size is 70x70x20.

Overheating

Hello,

Please clean the filters for the air and the air circulation path for cooling the lamp.

This will definitely work, pls also check that the condition of lamp is okay or not as sometimes lamp goes with the ballast unit of the lamp and that damages the new lamp.

Why is my projection dark and muddy compared to the brightness on my computer screen?

John here, customer advocate at Dell headquarters. If you can nvigate to the On Screen Display Menu, you should see an "all images" section on the main menu. There you will find brightness, contrast, color temp, white intensity, and gamma controls. You should be able to make adjustments from that menu to sharpen and brighten the image.
