Want to use Panasonic SA-HT740 for TV sound

I am attempting to connect my Panasonic SA-HT740 to my Panasonic TC-P42U1 for surrond sound. I have A Dish HDTV VIP612. The DVD works fine. I want to watch TV and listen to surrond sound from the SA-HT740 instead of the TV speakers. Any suggestions?

TAKE THE STEREO AUDIO OUT FROM PANEL AND PLUG INTO AUX ON HT.
    OR
USE HEADPHONE OUT TO RCA. THEN YOU CAN CONTROL TV VOLUME TO ADJUST = TO HT FUNCTIONS.

How do I turn on my hdmI settings on my Panasonic 42 inch Tc-p42u1.

That is unusual. HDMI are usually auto-sensing. Modern TV sense when a cable is plugged in

I have a 1 1/2 year old Panasonic TC-P42U1 plasma tv. While watching a show, it suddenly shut off and won't come back on. What do you think caused this and how can i fix it? Thanks.

Try unplugging it completely for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Plug it back in. If it still won't come on, it's likely taken a power surge and popped a fuse or power supply, which means a trip to the service center.

Panasonic TC-P42U1 plasma. Lost it's vivid colors basic color is black and white and green and blue if tint color tone etc. Is turned up. However a blue ray video plays with full color. Could it be a lose...

I have an old Toshiba TV and was going to replace it with a new plasma because it has suddenly (the week of July 19, 2010) lost color. It has only green and blue tint. Changing the "tint" on the menu didn't help. The color comes and goes relative to nothing that I can measure, such as how long it is turned on, etc. Reading other complaints from owners of Plasmas, I am thinking it is cable related. I have Charter Cable. Playing a DVD, I have to readjust the tint back to normal. Hope this info gives clues.
