OK try this Remove Power Cord from Printer, remove USB cable from PC. Reboot PC. Wait 10 mins, then connect, the Power again to printer. Turn OFF PC. While OFF plug in the USB cable TO any other USB other than the one used before. Turn PC ON. After a bit you should hopefully have a working printer. If that doesn't work, Unplug USB, reboot & then using your DVD re-install it all again.

I replaced the cartridge of my hp psc 1401, copied the test page that was automatically printed, but now I can't print anything. Copying works OK. I don't get an error message or blinking lights on...

what is the status of print job in the queue? whether it is showing printing or no status in the windows.
if the status is printing you delete all the print jobs and switch off and on .then try print something. if no status is there in the windows then you check whether the printer is off line .try make it online by right click on the printer icon then click on the use printer online.

Trying to print a picture from my dell computer. when i hit print on the computer printer does not print. what button do i push on the printer itself. when i go to view/print it just says to insert memory...

With the printer power on, unplug and then plug in the printer from/to the computer. This should force the printer to be reinstalled.
Check the printer status.
Click START>Control Panel>Devices and Printers>click on your printer. check the status for any error messages. On the printer status, delete all pending jobs. Once the printer status display shows that all pending jobs have been deleted, retry printing.
Let me know if printing is reestablished. Thanks.

Trying to print, but Status Paused is showing

Hi

Thanks for using FIxYa. Please turn the printer off and then cancel all the print queues pending in the bottom toolbar by double clicking on the printer logo if you want to delete all the pending printing files. Now turn the printer on. If you do not want to cancel all the printing jobs then you can double click on the printer logo showing in the right side of the bottom tool bar and then right click on the printing jobs pending for printings then click on restart printing. Issue will be resolved and it will not show ‘paused status’.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

My last print job gets stuck deleting in the queue!

Go to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS on your PC and you will see two files listed fior each of the outstanding print jobs. These will have the file extensions .SHD and .SPL

You need to delete both of these files then power off and power on your printer to be able to continue printing.
