My htc p3300 wont turn on on the button.but when i hard reset it it comes on.but stays on htc screen

do a hard reset, beware all data like contacts will be deleted, press to soft keys the keys with a dash_, pres power utton also then use stylus and press reset switch on side,
some message will be displayed, now leave power switch and other keys and press green call button,
your phone will load software.

you need a hard reset. your all user data will be lost.

Hard reset:
1. power off phone
2. hold 2 soft keys (minus sign keys)
3. while 2 soft keys holding reset (reset hole)
4. press Green (call button) when you see instructions on display to do so.

try soft reset
Use the stylus to press the RESET button found on the lower left side of your device. Your device restarts and displays the Today screen.

if this doesn't help,you can not recover any data.you have to master reset via

1. Press and hold the Left SOFT KEY and the Right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the lower left side of your device.
2. Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two soft key buttons. Release them only when you see the following message on your device screen: “Press Send to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.“
3. Press on your device. Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Please ensure any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before a hard reset is performed.

you can perform a hard reset by turning off the device by using the stylus to push the reset button of the phone, while holding the two striped buttons. then follow the insturctions on the display if they are shown. if not, the display is broken and should be replaced.

just do hard reset it will be ok.

To perform a NORMAL Hard Reset
1) TAP ON START ---> SETTINGS ---> SYSTEM
2) TAP ON THE " CLEAR STORAGE " ICON
3) ENTER 1234 & TAP " YES "

IN YOUR CASE DO HARD RESETTINGS AS MENTIONDED BELOW

1. Press and hold the Left SOFT KEY and the Right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the lower left side of your device.

2. Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two soft key buttons. Release them only when you see the following message on your device screen:

try hard reset
at startup press and hold..
think its both top buttons then press the button ya gotta use a pen to press and should hard reset if not

Hi,
Apologize for the delay in respose, was having a technical glitch at my end too. Well, if the phone is under one year manufacturer warranty , i would advice to take it in for repairs.
If the warranty is void , try hard reseting the phone ...caution before you do hard reset , it would delete all contacts and files that you saved on it after you got the phone.
Refer owners manual on how to reset the phone . If you donot have the same with , kindly lemme know

try aligning the screen...
settings > screen > general > Align Screen

If that doesn't work try hard reset... i.e.
press the two soft keys and the reset button using stylus...

If its still not working do soft reset:
settings > system > Clear storage
but remember to take back up of phone before doing this..as it will erase all your data...

and do tell me if it worked or not...

To perform a hard reset power on the phone (doesn't matter what it shows on the screen), keep the two action buttons pressed (the ones with the dashes on them) and do a reset with the stylus without leaving the action buttons.
Then a black sreen will appear and you have to press the the send (green) button and your phone will boot up from scratch (will take some minutes).
